KardexRemstar’s innovative Shuttle™ Vertical Lift Module is an enclosed system of vertically arranged trays, an extraction platform, and a series of computerized push button controls. Operators stay in one place as the Shuttle™ delivers items to an ergonomic workstation. The Shuttle does all the locating, retrieving, and recording. Ideal for tooling, general warehousing and central storage on the production floor, the Shuttle’s efficient design and variety of over 50 tray sizes organizes parts, tools, or other items into a single, densely packed module.
Stored items are completely encased within the Shuttle for maximum protection and security, accommodating tray loads of varying heights up to 29.5” while providing superior performance and storage flexibility.
Several Shuttle VLMs can be placed side-by-side or back-to-back to form a compact and efficient automated storage and retrieval system. KardexRemstar’s CubeStar® technology combines hardware and controls to give the Shuttle VLM up to 50 percent more storage capacity than Vertical Lift Modules without CubeStar technology.
